DMV Hearing

DMV Hearing

You can be assigned a DMV Hearing by the Department of Motor Vehicles for several different reasons, including if you have accumulated too many points on your driving record in a specific period of time or if you were involved in an accident and failed to provide necessary documents. DMV may also assign a Hearing if you were cited and taken into custody regarding a DUI. Please note that for a DUI you or your Attorney have 10 days from the date you were stopped for a DUI to call the Department of Motor Vehicles and schedule a hearing. Failure to do so will allow the DMV to take further action against you.
