Correctable violations are usually simple things that can be fixed; hence, described by the phrase “fit it ticket.”, e.g. car registration, window tints, proof of insurance, broken tail light, et. These are all matters that, while simple, cannot be ignored because they are still considered to be citations. Fortunately, these do not consist of a point on your record yet require time and energy from your busy schedule to “fix it”. At times, they have a small fine amount as long as you provide the Court/Sheriff proof of correction. However, you may be cited for a correctable violation, and the officer may not mark it as a correctable violation. In such situations, the fine is extremely high which is why we recommend you fight the matter with the possibility of having it dismissed.
